Support.com Research Unveiled What Are the Things Small Business Owners Want and Don’t Want
It has been revealed on a study commissioned by an online tech support company Support.com, Inc., that the wants, needs, and concerns of home-based business owners and small offices when it comes to regulating and fixing their technology. The research which was conducted at the cities of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania and in Cincinnati, Ohio last July 21 2010, involved men and women that own their respective small business and work initially outside the home as well as business owners that work from home all the time. The respondents were examined specifically on what technology they need, how are these technologies function for their companies, and how they can solve technological issues. A service that concentrates primarily on the business and not personal or family needs, an access to a 24/7 IT support that is fast and cost-effective, a routine computer maintenance to help keeping the system optimized, the ability to immediately contact support should there be any problems, and recommendation on what software and hardware to buy by experts are what these small business owner wants. On the other hand what they do not want are tech support that does not fit to what they really want, information overload (which is sometimes very stressful), the need for speed, and business data that are very much sensitive. Adding a little bit more on their bucket list, the respondents said that an online remote technology provider is very much preferred. This is because it can save them an ample amount of time without sacrificing the productivity by disconnecting their computers and bring it to another place for service.
