Lose Weight in the New Year with a Brown Rice Diet
A 7 day brown rice diet is one of the easiest forms of fasting for many people because it furnishes the body with nutrients, detoxes the body slowly (thereby producing little or no detox side effects) and doesn’t require fasting from food as a juice fast can.
Under the brown rice diet, you only consume brown rice for 2 to 7 days. You don’t have to worry about being hungry or getting the jitters. It’s acceptable to spice up flavor your brown rice with Bragg’s Amino Acids or miso, similar to soy sauce but much healthier since it simply contains natural sodium. A small amount of miso with ginger powder and garlic powder will provide diversity to your brown rice diet. Other herbs for flavouring are also acceptable, however, be sure not to overdo it. For a little metabolism boost, add a pinch of chili pepper pepper. You can also use a bit of pure maple syrup or brown rice syrup for a sweet choice. Only do this once a day, if at all.

Be sure to drink at least 3 quarts of water each day. This can include unsweetened herbal teas as well. Peppermint is a wonderful tea, red clover tea will support cleansing and a laxative tea at bedtime will keep your colon moving.
