In my point of view gaming laptops have lost their once sustained niche title. I recall when they were not so widespread. Even though they didn’t ship a significant deal they still brought in the most compared to other types of laptop. They most likely were not good sellers though because I reckon us people buy laptop computers that we can comfortably afford. The future for gaming laptops is now seen by the giant companies as a great opportunity for themselves.

These are definitely big margin laptop computers for the massive companies and they are aware of that. Presently the markup on the majority of notebooks are so narrow that this presents a great opportunity to roll back the gross margins. Why would people buy laptop computers like this? I think big brands have the marketing resources to educate them on that. Do the little resellers realistically stand a chance with this sort of threat? With the money at their disposal they can easily get rid of smaller competition. I think purchasing from a well know brand also gives the perception of added value.

I reckon they certainly are launching some of the best laptop computers available to purchase. This is a major opportunity the smaller competitors must use to their advantage. Now and then the smaller companies could supply new parts quicker and so offer faster configurations as well. I believe the people that purchase gaming laptops usually know what they are looking for. Sometimes the specifications matter than the design for these kinds of people.

As a possible consumer myself this is in fact all a good thing for me. This would continue to make the high end technology even more acquirable for the customer. Who is to say what will happen. I am actually not sure anymore. Premium prices will stay and be normal with the best laptop computers is what I am thinking. Competition usually forces companies to do more and provide greater value so that looks promising.
